With a current record of 2-6 on the road, the APSU men’s basketball team is looking to build on their home record during a six-game home stand starting Tuesday, Dec. 22.
After suffering a four-game losing streak at the beginning of the season, the Governors (4-7, 0-0 OVC) are on a path to redeem themselves after going 4-3 following the losing streak.
APSU will look to take advantage of a six-game home stand against Wofford College, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Westminster College, Eastern Kentucky University, Jacksonville State University and Tennessee Technological University.
Terrell Thompson hit every shot he took in a second half performance contributing to the 80-71 win over Troy University on December 5.
Thompson hit all six of his shots from the line, a 3-pointer and a layup for a total of 11 points and 100 percent from the floor.
Chris Horton has gained a national ranking with 117 rebounds so far this season.
Horton is on the way to beat his career-high 333 rebounds he achieved in the 2014-15 season.
The Governors will have five remaining home games to improve their record after their six-game home stand.
With Horton attacking the boards and the rest of the Governors’ lineup continuing to improve throughout the season, the Governors may have a chance at finishing the season with a winning record.
