GOLDEN POND— A scenic trail at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is closing for the week.
Land Between The Lakes says the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail will be closed beginning Monday, March 23 and won’t reopen until Saturday, March 28.
The trail runs parallel with U.S. 68-Kentucky 80 across the recreation area.
Trails manager Kyle Varel says Land Between the Lakes is holding a training workshop for Forest Service employees and will address hazards along the trail to keep visitors safe.
Trailheads will be barricaded.
Land Between The Lakes manages more than 170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee.
