The APSU Police Department received a report on Friday, Nov. 11, that a student had been sexually assaulted on campus the previous day.
The student said the incident took place between the first floor entrance to the Morgan University Center and the Ellington building between 1 and 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, according to a safety bulletin from the APSU Police Department.
There is currently no description of the alleged suspect. Anyone with information about the incident can contact the APSU Police Department at 911 or 931-221-7786.
UPDATE:
After further investigation, the report has been determined inaccurate. The student who reported the incident advised officers that she “was not assaulted by an unknown subject in that area,” according to a release from the APSU Police Department. The investigation will remain open.
