As of 1:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, all APSU campuses are closed due to the impending weather, according to a e-mail alert sent from APSU’s office of Public Relations. All campuses include, main campus, Fort Campbell, Springfield and Dickson. All evening classes are cancelled for the evening.
According to weather.com, the National Weather Service has issued an ice storm warning for Montgomery County in effect until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, as of 12:45 p.m. An ice storm warning makes it dangerous to travel. The National Weather Service advises against travel and encourages to keep an extra flashlight, food and water in vehicles if traveling is necessary. Other dangers include, ice and winds snapping tree branches and power lines.
