Rashaud Marshall scored 21 points as Austin Peay State University men’s basketball defeated Stetson 73–65 in Atlantic Sun Conference play on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville.
With the win, the Governors improved to 13–6 overall and 7–1 in Atlantic Sun Conference play and extended their home winning streak to nine games.
Stetson opened the game strong, making its first four shots and taking an early lead while Austin Peay struggled to score in the opening minutes. The Governors responded with a scoring run midway through the first half to take the lead, but Stetson closed the half ahead 32–31.
Austin Peay regained momentum early in the second half with three straight three-pointers, including two from Anton Brookshire. The Governors built a lead from there and maintained a multi-possession advantage for most of the half.
Marshall finished 8-of-11 from the field and added nine rebounds and two steals. Zyree Collins scored 16 points, Brookshire added 15 and Ja’Corey Robinson finished with 13. Travis Torain recorded a season-high nine rebounds.
The Governors shot 47.5% from the field and outrebounded the Hatters 41–33. Austin Peay also forced 12 turnovers and generated second-chance opportunities to maintain its lead in the final minutes.
Stetson cut the deficit to six points with less than two minutes remaining, but a layup from Marshall and free throws from Brookshire sealed the win.
The Governors will travel to Eastern Kentucky for a 6 p.m. CT game on Jan. 28 at Baptist Health Arena in Richmond, Kentucky.
