APSU wide receiver Darryl Clack was suspended for the 2014 season after allegedly violating the football team’s code of conduct.
Clack is a senior communications major from Nashville.
Clack demonstrated potential in the three years he served the team as wide receiver.
His career stats include an impressive 72-yard touchdown reception against Tennessee State in 2011 and a career-best four catches against Murray State in 2012.
He continued to improve in 2013 with 28 catches for 398 yards and two touchdowns, making him second on the team in interceptions. His most noteworthy achievements include 80 receiving yards against Tennessee, 90 vs. Southeast Missouri, and catching both touchdown passes against UT Martin.
“If Darryl makes the necessary progress and fulfills all his obligations he will return to the squad in January (2015),” head coach Kirby Cannon said July 11 in a news release.
