The New Year releases for Netflix have arrived. Several beloved oldies and Netflix original series can be viewed from the comforts of your home, so get in your pj’s and snuggle up because there is a lot of binge watching to do.
Classic oldies introduced this month include:
2 Fast 2 Furious 2003 Catwoman 2004 House Of Wax 2005
The three of these new releases are great for those who love action and thriller films. Though the Fast and the Furious franchise have a bad rep from viewers and many famous critics, I really enjoy them, due to the simple fact that they are top movies in their specific genre. 2 Fast 2 Furious, the second installment, is a refreshing twist with new characters that aims to please and promises lots of action.
Catwoman, starring Halle Berry, is of course a beloved classic. Played by many others before her, Berry’s performance as Catwoman is very convincing. After Berry’s character overhears certain risky details about a cosmetic company she works for, cats come to her rescue and allow Berry to get her revenge on those who wronged her.
Lastly in the trio of oldies: House Of Wax, newly added to the horror genre in Netflix, is an all time favorite of mine. If you have or haven’t seen it I recommend rewatching or watching it, respectively. If you’re in the mood for a good thriller/horror combination, this is the one for you. After a group of friends come into contact with a very questionable town populated with strange people a series of very unfortunate events unravel; who will survive?
Many others movies added to Netflix this month include: The Wedding Date, Pride and Prejudice, Along Came Polly, Meet The Parents, Meet The Fockers and many more.
So far for the Netflix New Year the hype is mainly centered around Fuller House. The iconic and cult classic television show Full House is coming back to Netflix as a spin-off original series. Starring a majority of the original Full House cast with the exception of the Olsen twins, Fuller House centers around an all grown-up D.J. Tanner-Fuller who has enlisted the help of her family and friends after the untimely death of her husband. The series will be released on Netflix Friday, Feb. 26. Make sure to stay up-to-date with The Good the Bad the Netflix, to get my review on this classic, because binge watching series is what I do best.
