In the Hispanic Cultural Center (MUC 115), this decorated altar is a space to pay tribute to dear ones who have passed. The traditions in Mexico around this observation of memorial include setting up an altar in the home lined with pictures of deceased loved ones and presenting symbolic offerings to the deceased. Until October 31, all students may visit the HCC to learn more about the traditions surrounding Día de Muertos and even assist with decorating the altar.
