According to an APSU press release, the third annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K will be held Saturday, April 13 in front of the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center on the Austin Peay State University campus.
Registration is available online through Active.com or on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m.
The race will start at 8 a.m. A one-mile fun run also will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Cost to run the 5K is $25 if preregistered by April 5. The fee will increase to $30 on race day. For APSU students, the price is $15 before April 5 and $20 on race day.
For the one-mile fun run, the cost is $10 if preregistered by April 5 or $15 on race day.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Those who have preregistered for the race can pick up their packets early from noon-2 p.m., Friday, April 12 in the Foy Center lobby.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group. Awards will be presented when the 5K results are complete.
The event is sponsored by APSU University Recreation, APSU Office of Alumni Relations and the APSU African American Cultural Center.
